Description / Expertise: Fine set of eight Gillows mahogany dining chairs with a scroll carved dish top rail with decorative waving fronds surrounding the upholstered back, the tapered reeded turned front legs with two collars one foliate carved the other with rings unusually have brass cup castors. The chairs bare many similarities to the Hackwood chairs made for Lord Bolton and the Tatton chairs made for Lord Egerton both in 1813.
